How Darna checks property listing freshness in Qatar
A property portal is only useful when users can tell whether an advert is still credible. Darna records where freshness came from, when availability was last confirmed, and whether an obvious duplicate has a canonical version.
What each status means
Feed confirmed means the listing was present in an agency's latest successful structured feed. Agent confirmed means the listing owner explicitly refreshed its availability. Darna reviewed is reserved for a separate platform review. “Unverified” simply means none of those freshness events has been recorded yet; it does not prove the listing is false.
How expiry and duplicate handling work
Expired and off-market listings are removed from public browse results and from listing sitemaps. For exact cross-feed duplicates, Darna compares location, purpose, property type, price, bedrooms, bathrooms, area and coordinates. When all those values agree, one canonical listing remains eligible for discovery.
What you should verify yourself
Freshness is not a legal or physical inspection. Before paying money, confirm the unit is still available, the advertiser is authorised, the exact commission and bills, the title or tenancy terms, and the identity of the recipient. Never rely on a badge alone.
How to use freshness when searching
Prefer recently confirmed inventory when several adverts describe the same unit. Compare total occupancy cost—not rent alone—and ask for commission, utilities and cooling in writing. Darna's new structured filters make those comparisons possible when advertisers provide the data.
